Charleston Chamber of Commerce Trip

Chamber offers travel programs

The Charleston Chamber is excited to be working with Chamber Explorations to offer two new travel programs in 2014.
During spring break, travelers can “Discover Cuba” for eight days while touring all the major sites in Havana and the surrounding area. Passengers will arrive in Miami on their own and stay overnight on March 9, 2014. The group will then fly out of Miami International Airport the next morning for seven days and six nights in Cuba.
The only way that U.S. citizens can visit Cuba is with approved “people to people” group travel programs, so this is a very unique opportunity. Highlights of the tour include the Plaza of the Revolution, the Bocoy Rum Factory, the Colon Cemetery, the National Museum of Fine Arts and more.
The all-inclusive price of $3,699 per person (double occupancy) includes airfare from Miami, one night hotel in Miami and six nights at a first class hotel in Havana, 16 meals, a standard Cuban travel visa, U.S. air departure taxes and fees, and Cuban medical insurance.
The second travel program will be to Austria and Germany with a departure date of Sept. 22, 2014. This classic Old World tour includes time spent at the legendary Munich Oktoberfest. Other highlights include the Imperial Palace “Hofburg,” the world famous “Golden Roof,” and the fairy tale castle “Neuschwanstein.”
Optional tours to Salzburg; Meran, Italy and the Hintertux Glacier are also available. This trip also has plenty of free time built in so that travelers can explore Innsbruck at their leisure.
The all-inclusive price of $2,999 per person (double occupancy) includes round-trip, non-stop international airfare from Chicago, seven nights at Hotel Grauer Baer in Innsbuck, seven breakfasts and three dinners, and all airline fees and taxes.
These travel programs are offered in partnership with Chamber Explorations, which has over 100 years of group travel experience, a nationwide team of travel consultants and a choice of extraordinary international destinations.
These tours are designed to create a great travel experience with a networking opportunity that is unlike any other including educational activities with business enterprises, artists, architects, educators, and environmental professionals worldwide to facilitate meaningful people to people interaction.
All members of the public, Chamber members and nonmembers are invited to attend a free informational meeting on Thursday, Oct. 24 to learn more about these group travel programs. The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. at the Charleston Chamber office, located at 501 Jackson Ave. in Charleston.
Tom Summers, district sales manager with Chamber Explorations, will be on hand to provide detailed information and answer all questions about both of the travel programs.
Don’t miss these fabulous opportunities to “Discover Cuba” and “Experience Austria & Germany.” If you are interested in learning more about the travel programs, contact the Charleston Area Chamber of Commerce at 217-345-7041 or attend the informational meeting.
